From October 19 to October 21, 2010, 320 delegates across the globe converged in Edinburgh, Scotland, for the third annual European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology. At least 50 industry experts took center stage to talk about their latest products and researches as well as developments in policy, business, and financing of Europe’s bio-industries.

USDA Adds Eight New Product Categories to BioPreferred Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has further expanded its BioPreferred Program to include eight new product categories or more than 600 biobased products. Including previously designated items, there are now more than 5,100 biobased products that qualify for preferred purchasing by all federal agencies and their contractors.
