Radiocarbon Dating Results of Groundwater Samples

Beta Analytic's lab report presents radiocarbon dates as well as the interpretation of results. For example, having younger radiocarbon ages of the water each year indicate younger waters are being drawn down from above. This could be caused, for example, by over-pumping of the well or by expanded well drilling in other areas. In either case, it indicates that eventually contaminated surface waters could enter the drinking water supply.
