Frequently Asked Questions on Beta’s Services for Hydrocarbon Gases

1. Can we ship samples directly to Beta’s Miami address?

Please DO NOT send samples without prior discussion with a Beta account manager. The hydrocarbon gas questionnaire/assessment is required prior to accepting gas samples. 

2. What containers can we use for gas samples?

We recommend these containers:

• Multilayer Aluminum Foil Gas Bag, non-pressurized (single use recommended)
• IsoTube®

Please refer to the sampling and shipping guidelines for other acceptable shipping containers.

3. Should we pretreat our samples before submission?

Please DO NOT pretreat the samples with any chemicals. Note: We cannot accept gas compositions with high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) gas.
